Piggy Chapters — Keys, Traps, and How Not to Die on the Door

3 min read

How to clear Piggy chapters: key routes, which items matter, why skins are not the strategy, and what to do when there is no code.

The Exit Is a Key Puzzle

Piggy chapters are a chase wrapped around a key. You need the items that open the exit before the pig catches you in a dead-end room. Learning the map's key order beats a faster skin.

Play the chapter once as a walkthrough in your head: spawn, first key, the room that key opens, the item inside, the door. Then run it. Players who wander for "the blue key" without a route donate the round.

On harder chapters the trap items on our survivor list are the difference. A trap on a corner you already died on is the lesson. A trap in a random hallway is a wasted slot.

Items Before Skins

Speed items get you out of a chase. Key-finder utility helps on large maps. Traps help when the chapter is mean. Standard survivor skins are fine for the story. They do not open doors.

Event limited skins are trade value and a different animation. Stealth-focused skins matter in dark maps because the pig spots you less easily. They are not a substitute for knowing where the key is.

If you play pig, a skin with a clear hitbox is the competitive pick. Basic pig skins have no gameplay downside for learning. Fancy is optional. Patrol is not.

If You Are the Pig

Check the exits and the key rooms, not the corner someone crouched in for a minute. Survivors have to visit the locks. You win by being at the next lock, not by chasing one player across a map you have not learned.

Listen for the door sounds. A chapter you have played as survivor is an easier pig round because you know which room is a dead end for them.

Do not camp the exit from the start if the keys are still across the map. You will win one round against scared players and lose the ones who do the puzzle while you wait.

Codes Are Seasonal, Not a Chapter Skip

Piggy codes show up around events and then expire. There is not a permanent string that hands you the next chapter. Check the codes page when an event starts. Skip any list that claims a code unlocks Book 2.

The parent-safety article on this site is the right page if a younger player is in these rounds. The horror is the product. The strategy is still keys and doors.

Book chapters get longer. The habit stays the same: learn the key order on an easy chapter until you can do it while being chased, then move up.

A Clear You Can Repeat

First life: find the key route and die if you must. Second life: run that route with one trap or one speed item on the corner that killed you. Do not change skins between those lives. The skin was not the problem.

When the chapter is clear, you know it because the exit opened on purpose. Then the next chapter. Collecting skins in the lobby between failed runs does not move the book.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Do Piggy codes skip chapters?

No. Event codes are cosmetics or temporary rewards. Chapters are cleared by finding keys and the exit.

What item should I take?

A trap on hard chapters, a speed item if you are dying in chases, a key helper on big maps. Skins after that.

How should I play Pig?

Patrol the rooms survivors must visit for keys. Camping the exit early lets them solve the map behind you.
