What Is Roblox?

Roblox is a free platform where millions of players explore user-created games — called experiences — every day. You can roleplay in a city, fight with anime powers, hatch pets, solve horror puzzles, or build boats and race them. Each experience is made by a different creator, so the library is huge and always changing.

Basic Controls

Controls vary by game, but most Roblox experiences share the same defaults:

PC — WASD to move, Space to jump, mouse to look, Left Click to interact or use tools. Press Esc to open the menu.

Mobile — virtual joystick to move, tap buttons on screen for jump and actions. Some games support auto-run.

Console — left stick to move, face buttons for jump and interact. Check each game's control hints in the first few seconds after joining.

Staying Safe on Roblox

Roblox is built for all ages, but you should still use common sense:

• Don't share personal info — real name, school, address, or phone number • Be wary of "free Robux" or "duplicate item" tricks in chat and Discord • Use official trading windows in games like Adopt Me — never "trust trade" outside the system • Report players who harass you: tap their name → Report • Enable Account Restrictions for young children (Settings → Privacy)

Add friends by searching their username or accepting requests on the Friends page. You can join the same server as a friend in most games by clicking Join on their profile when they're in-game.

Groups are fan communities run by creators. Joining sometimes gives you group-only perks or access to private servers. Stick to official groups linked from a game's page or a creator's verified social media.

Voice chat is available on accounts with verified age and parental permission. Text chat is filtered by default. You can mute individual players in-game if chat gets noisy.
