A Customer Needs a Chair

People walk in, sit, order, and pay. No table, no ticket. The first build is a door, a kitchen, and enough tables that a waiter is not crossing the map for one plate.

Keep the kitchen next to the floor. Paths wide enough that staff do not get stuck. A pretty dining room with a bottleneck at the pass is a queue of angry plates.

Speed and Seats Before a Theme

Faster cooking equipment, more tables, and a bigger menu are the top of our list. Chefs, waiters, a larger kitchen, and better ingredients are the next shelf. Decor themes and music come after the restaurant can feed the room. Premium decor bought before you have capacity is the bottom of the list on purpose.

Cheap fast dishes keep the early rush moving. Premium dishes pay more and cook slower. Watch what people actually order, then expand that item. A menu of slow specials and no tables is a closed kitchen.

Hire When the Stations Exist

A chef for a kitchen with one station is a wage. A waiter for a floor they cannot path is a statue. Hire when the extra station or the extra tables are placed. If someone is stuck on a chair, fix the path or replace them. Do not add a third theme while the cook is walking through a plant.

Two of the Codes Are Decor

Redeem in Settings, under the gear. ocean is a dolphin decoration. 'light it up' is wireframe lights, and the space is part of the code. subtoveddev and razorfishgaming are 250 cash each. Gruffalo is 10 diamonds.

Place the dolphin after the tables exist. The cash is a faster cooker or another seat. Diamonds are not a reason to skip the layout.

The Order

Redeem the cash codes. Place tables close to the kitchen. Upgrade cook speed. Add menu items people order. Decor, including the code decorations, after the room is making money.

If you only change one habit: stop theming an empty floor. Seats are the income.
