New to Adopt Me? Learn how to earn Bucks, hatch your first legendary pet, and start trading safely.
Your First Steps
When you start Adopt Me, you'll choose whether to be a parent or a baby. Either role lets you complete tasks and earn Bucks.
Focus on the tutorial quests first — they teach you how to care for pets, decorate your home, and use the trading system. Don't spend Bucks on toys until you understand the economy.
Earning Bucks Fast
Complete the Daily Rewards streak for bonus Bucks each day. Work jobs around Adoption Island — pizza delivery, coffee shop, and school tasks all pay well.
Age up your pets by completing pet care tasks. Fully grown pets can be reborn for better rewards and higher trade value.
Hatching Pets
Buy eggs from the nursery with Bucks or Robux. Limited event eggs usually contain the most valuable pets.
Hatch during 2x weekend events when available. Save up for the best egg you can afford rather than buying many cheap ones.
Trading Safely
Never trust 'trust trades' or deals that seem too good to be true. Use the in-game trade window so both players confirm before items swap.
Check pet values on our tier list before accepting trades. Scammers often target new players with fake 'duplicate' pet tricks.
Building Your Home
Start with a basic house and upgrade as you earn more Bucks. Focus on pet furniture (beds, food bowls, playgrounds) to keep pets happy.
Participate in house decoration events for exclusive items that can also hold trade value.
