What Is Deepwoken?

Deepwoken is a hardcore fantasy RPG with permadeath. When your character dies, you lose progress and start fresh with new traits.

Expect to lose several characters while learning. That's normal — each run teaches you more about combat and the world.

Pick safer spawn areas and avoid PvP zones early. Complete the tutorial quests to learn combat basics.

Redeem codes on our codes page when available. Don't get attached to your first few characters — treat them as learning runs.

Learn to parry, dodge, and manage stamina. Button mashing gets you killed fast.

Fight NPCs at your power level before engaging players. Run from fights you can't win — survival matters more than pride.

Attunements are magic/combat styles that define your build. You can mix attunements as you progress.

Check our tier list for strong options, but pick something that matches your playstyle. Mobility attunements help beginners escape bad situations.

Join a faction for guidance and safety in numbers. Bank valuable items and learn extraction routes.

Watch experienced players and community guides. Deepwoken knowledge is as important as mechanical skill.
