Murder Mystery 2
Beginner Guide
Learn the three roles in MM2, how to win as each, and how to start building your weapon collection.
How MM2 Works
Each round, players are assigned a role: Innocent, Sheriff, or Murderer. The Murderer tries to eliminate all Innocents. The Sheriff must identify and shoot the Murderer. Innocents survive and collect gun drops to protect themselves.
Rounds are short β usually 2-3 minutes. You'll learn quickly by playing, but understanding each role's strategy helps you win more often.
Playing as Innocent
Stay alert and watch for suspicious behavior β players who follow others closely or avoid groups may be the Murderer.
Grab gun drops when the Sheriff dies. Don't pick up guns unnecessarily early, as it can make you a target. Stick near other players for safety in numbers.
Playing as Sheriff
Don't shoot randomly β killing an Innocent costs you the round. Watch for players who get too close without reason or who linger near dead bodies.
Keep your gun ready but be patient. One wrong shot and the Murderer wins.
Playing as Murderer
Be stealthy. Don't chase players in open areas where the Sheriff can see you. Target isolated Innocents and avoid the Sheriff until you've reduced the player count.
Throw your knife to hit players at range, but remember it has a cooldown.
Collecting Weapons
Open crates with keys earned from daily login and gameplay. Trade duplicates with other players to climb the value ladder.

Common Beginner Mistakes
Sheriff players shoot too quickly without identifying the murderer β killing an innocent loses the round for everyone. Murderers who chase immediately waste stealth advantages.
Spending coins on common crates before saving for godly boxes burns currency with bad odds.
Improving Win Rate
Learn map hiding spots for innocent survival and murderer ambush routes separately. Watch how experienced sheriffs hold angles rather than running.
Redeem codes for coins before opening mystery boxes during 2x legendary events if MM2 runs them.
Weekly Murder Mystery 2 Practice Plan
Spend two short sessions memorizing audio cues and safe rooms before pushing high floors. Redeem revive codes immediately before deep runs, not after a loss streak.
Co-op one night a week with friends who call out entity spawns β Murder Mystery 2 communication beats raw reflex alone.
β Frequently Asked Questions
Is Murder Mystery 2 scary for younger players?
Murder Mystery 2 includes jump scares, chase sequences, and horror themes. Roblox age settings and parental controls can limit chat and some experiences. Read our guide for entity descriptions before playing with children.
Do Murder Mystery 2 codes help you win?
Codes often grant revives, currency, or cosmetics β not guaranteed wins. Revive codes are especially valuable on deep runs where one mistake ends the session. Redeem before queuing, not after you are already in a chase.
Can you beat Murder Mystery 2 solo?
Many horror experiences support solo play, but co-op makes high floors easier through communication. Our guide notes which chapters or floors are reasonable solo and when to bring friends.
Why do Murder Mystery 2 codes expire so fast?
Horror devs often cap total redemptions or tie codes to limited events. When a code hits its global limit, it dies for everyone. We timestamp additions so newer entries have the best chance of still working.
